To earn Microbadge: Career Fair Research:
Step 1: Attend one or more career fairs (including virtual career fairs) organized by the Internship and Career Center (ICC) and speak with 2 or more employers you are interested in. This link will take you to the ICC website; if you do not see any upcoming career fairs, you can contact gpi@ucdavis.edu for more information.
Step 2: Use this form to submit a reflection:
- Please reflect on what you leaned from the employers. Please write as if you were sharing the information with a graduate student with similar interests who was unable to attend the fair(s).
- Please include the name and date of the career fair(s) you attended.
- What did you learn about the organizations? In what ways were they a good fit for you? In what ways could they be better?
- What are you going to do as next steps, either to learn about other organizations, or to pursue employment with one(s) you visited?
- Reflection and metacognition are important elements of your career development. There is no length requirement, although we do not recommend going over about 1.5 pages.
While our staff will review submissions for completeness, we will not automatically respond with feedback. Please allow 2-3 business days for badges to be issued- you will automatically receive an email from badgr to claim your badge when it is ready. Please direct any questions to gpi@ucdavis.edu.
