To earn Microbadge: Creating Inclusive Classrooms:
Step 1: Complete the Creating Inclusive Classrooms: Diversity & Access in (Online) Education workshop.
Step 2: Use this form to submit the 'considerations for diversity' activity you completed during the workshop.
- Review the six “Considerations for Diversity” and answer the following three questions:
- 1) Will you adapt any of these strategies to your teaching?
- 2) which strategies do not apply to the courses you teach, and could you modify it?
- 3) What other strategies could you add to make the online classroom inclusive?
Step 3: Use the same form to submit a short reflection on how you will use this content.
- Please reflect on how your approach to creating community will change for online classes, after having completed the workshop, focusing on one or two concrete things you will do differently.
- Reflection and metacognition are important elements of your development as an educator. There is no length requirement, although we do not recommend going over about 1 page.
