Step 1: Choose one-

• Complete the Writing a Diversity Statement: Communicating Experiences with Social Justice in Higher Education on-demand workshop, or
• View the Developing a Diversity Statement for Academic Job Applications video, or
• Attend "Demystifying and Engaging in the Diversity Statement Writing Process " or "The Diversity Statement: Communicating Experiences of Social Justice and Diversity in Higher Education" hosted by the Center for Educational Effectiveness.  This link will take you to the CEE events page; if you do not see any upcoming options, you can contact gpi@ucdavis.edu for more information.

Step 2: Use this form to submit a complete draft diversity statement.

Step 3: Use the same form to submit a brief reflection on how you changed your diversity statement after viewing the video.

• Please reflect on how your diversity statement changed, after having completed the video, focusing on one or two concrete things.
• Reflection and metacognition are important elements of your career development. There is no length requirement, although we do not recommend going over about 1 page.

While our staff will review submissions for completeness, we will not automatically respond with feedback.  Please allow 2-3 business days for badges to be issued- you will automatically receive an email from badgr to claim your badge when it is ready.  Please direct any questions to gpi@ucdavis.edu.
