- View the Developing a Statement of Teaching Philosophy for Academic Job Applications video, or
- Attend "Writing a Teaching Statement for the Academic Job Market" hosted by the Center for Educational Effectiveness. This link will take you to the CEE events page; if you do not see any upcoming options, you can contact gpi@ucdavis.edu for more information.
Step 2: Use this form to submit a complete draft teaching statement.
Step 3: Use the same form to submit a brief reflection on how you changed your teaching statement after viewing the video.
- Please reflect on how your teaching statement changed, after having completed the video, focusing on one or two concrete things.
- Reflection and metacognition are important elements of your development as an educator. There is no length requirement, although we do not recommend going over about 1 page.
While our staff will review submissions for completeness, we will not automatically respond with feedback. Please allow 2-3 business days for badges to be issued- you will automatically receive an email from badgr to claim your badge when it is ready. Please direct any questions to gpi@ucdavis.edu.
