PFTF Projects and Previous PFTF Cohorts
Projects designed and developed by Professors for the Future fellows enhance the experiences of other graduate students and postdoctoral scholars at UC Davis. These projects also provide PFTF fellows with an opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills and to explore the university beyond the boundaries of their disciplinary areas of interest.
PFTF encourages students and scholars to be venturesome and creative in the designing of project ideas but also encourages them to consider building on the projects of past fellows where appropriate.
Many outstanding projects have become a part of the fabric of the graduate student and postdoc experience at UC Davis. Notable among these is the Week of Orientation and Welcome, the Interdisciplinary Graduate and Professional Student Symposium, and the Excellence in Postdoctoral Research Award. Professors for the Future has served as an incubator for these events and many others.
